AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CATHEDRAL CITY, CAL-
IFORNIA, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 176 RELATING TO
THE PROHIBITION OF PLACEMENT OF PARK TRAILERS/PARK
MODELS FOR HABITATION, EITHER TEMPORARY OR PERMA-
NENT, IN THE CITY.
The city council of the City of Cathedral City does ordain as follows:
WHEREAS, the purpose of said Ordinance No 176 was to prohibit the
placement of park trailers/park models as defined in California Health and
Safety Code Section 18010(b) being placed for habitation either temporary or
permanent in the City pending adoption of a revised recreational vehicle code;
and
WHEREAS, this City Council did, on September 16, 1987, adopt Ordinance
No. 187 amending the zoning ordinance by amending regulations applicable to
the recreational vehicle parks provision;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Cathedral City, California, as follows, pursuant to Section 65858 of the
California Government Code:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 176, adopted May 20, 1987, hereby is
repealed.
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect thirty (30) days after passage.
SECTION 3. POSTING. The City Clerk shall within 15 days after the
passage of this ordinance, cause it to be posted in at least the 3 public
places designated by resolution of the City Council ; shall certify to the
adoption and posting of this ordinance; and shall cause this ordinance and its
certification, together with proof of posting, to be entered in the book of
ordinances of this City.
The foregoing ordinance was approved and adopted at a meeting of the City
Council held on November 4 , 1987 by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmembers Di Grandi, Hillery, Krings, Murphy and
Mayor Paquette
Noes: None
Absent: None - '
