HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 184 ORDINANCE NO. 184: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CATHEDRAL, CITY AMENDING SECTION 14.16.120 OF. THE CATHEDRAL CITY MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE THAT INSPECTION CHARGES WILL NOT BE REQUIRED FROM PUBLIC AGENCIES WHICH DO NOT LEVY INSPECTION CHARGES TO THE CITY OF CATHEDRAL CITY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS. The City Council of the City of Cathedral City does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 14.16.120, Subsection C, is amended to read as follows: "C. Fees for administrative issuance of encroachment permits shall not be charged to public agencies. Inspection charges related thereto will not be required of any public agency which does not levy inspection charges to the City of Cathedral City in relation to the construction of public improvements by or for the City. The City Engineer is authorized to determine which public agencies, if any, will be exempt from fees under this provision. " SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after passage. SECTION 3. POSTING. The City Clerk shall within 15 days after the passage of this ordinance, cause it to be posted in at least the 3 public places designated by resolution of the City Council ; shall certify to the adoption and posting of this ordinance; and shall cause this ordinance and its certification, together with proof of posting, to be entered in the book of ordinances of this City.
