AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CATHEDRAL
CITY MODIFYING THE TITLE OF THE CITY'S CHIEF
FINANCIAL OFFICER AND PROVIDING FOR A
TRANSFER OF PURCHASING FUNCTIONS.
The city council of the City of Cathedral City does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The title of the City's "Director of Finance and General
Services" hereby is changed to "Director of Finance". Wherever the term
"director of finance and general services" appears in the Cathedral City
Municipal Code, in the title to Chapter 2.12 and in Sections 2.12.010, 2.12.020,
2.12.030, 3.16.050, 3.16.060, 3.16.070 and 3.28.010 or in any other section, the
said term shall be amended to read "director of finance."
SECTION 2. The second and third sentences of Section 3.12.030 of the
Cathedral City Municipal Code hereby are deleted and the following substituted
therefor:
"The purchasing agent shall be appointed by the city manager and
shall be the head and have general supervision of the purchasing
division."
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect thirty (30) days after passage.
SECTION 4. POSTING. The City Clerk shall within 15 days after the
passage of this ordinance, cause it to be posted in at least the 3 public places
designated by resolution of the City Council; shall certify to the adoption and
posting of this ordinance; and shall cause this ordinance and its certification,
together with proof of posting, to be entered in the book of ordinances of this
City.
The foregoing ordinance was approved and adopted at a meeting of the
City Council held on February 6 , 1985 by the following vote:
