HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 97 ORDINANCE NO. 97 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CATHEDRAL CITY AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE BY MAKING A MODIFICATION TO THE DEVELOPMENT STAN- DARDS IN THE R2 ZONE. The city council of the City of Cathedral City does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Subsection d. of Section 3 of Division A. of Article IV of the Cathedral City Zoning Ordinance concerning development standards in the R2 zoning district hereby is amended by deleting the portion thereof which reads: o Minimum rear yard shall be fifteen feet with the following exception: Exceptions to the rear yard setback may be gran- ted for multiple family units which have their rear yard abut- ting an alley, and if the rear yard is to be used for parking: and substituting therefor the following: o Minimum rear yard shall be fifteen feet with the following exception: Parking may be permitted in the required rear yard area serving multiple family units. SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after passage. SECTION 3. POSTING. The City Clerk shall within 15 days after the pas- sage of this ordinance, cause it to be posted in at least the 3 public places designated by resolution of the City Council; shall certify to the adoption and posting of this ordinance; and shall cause this ordinance and its certification, together with proof of posting, to be entered in the book of ordinances of this City.
