AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CATHEDRAL
CITY AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE BY
TRANSFERRING, IN THE LIGHT INDUSTRIAL
ZONING DISTRICT REGULATIONS, CERTAIN
USES FROM THE "PERMITTED USES"
SUBSECTION TO THE "CONDITIONAL USES"
SUBSECTION.
The city council of the City of Cathedral City does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Division C of Article IV of the Cathedral City Zoning
Ordinance, concerning regulations applicable in the I-1 (Light Industrial) zoning district,
hereby is amended by transferring and reclassifying from Subsection b. (Permitted Uses)
to Subsection c. (Conditional Uses) thereof, the following uses:
o Feed and fuel yards;
o Outdoor advertising displays;
o Rubber sales, or fabrication of products made from finished rubber;
o Tire rebuilding, recapping and retreading;
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty (30) days after passage.
SECTION 3. POSTING. The City Clerk shall within 15 days after the passage of
this ordinance, cause it to be posted in at least the 3 public places designated by
resolution of the City Council; shall certify to the adoption and posting of this ordinance;
and shall cause this ordinance and its certification, together with proof of posting, to be
entered in the book of ordinances of this City.
The foregoing ordinance was approved and adopted at a meeting of the City Council
held on December 5 , 1984, by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmembers Martin, Murphy, Smith and Mayor Case
Noes:
Absent: Councilmember Krings - p
