Mayor IDe Rosa called the Closed Session portion of the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

CALL TO ORDER— REGULAR MEETING
Mayor IDeRosa called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 6:30 p.m.
PRESENTATIONS
1_ Palm Springs Unified School Eistrict Update by Karen Cornett, Board Member_
Karen Cornett, Palm Springs Unified School district Board Member, gave an update on
the various programs district wide including the schools located in Cathedral City_ She
also went over Board related items_
2. Fiscal Year End Budget Update. (T_ Scott) ( •g_ 1)
Tami Scott, Administrative Services Director, presented the Fiscal Year 2013/2094 Year
End Budget update_
3. City Council Goals Update. (C_ McClendon) ( •g_ 2)
Charles McClendon, City Manager, gave a progress report on the where staff is on the
short term goals that were adopted by Resolution at the April 9, 2014 City Council
Meeting.

Closed Session.

PUBLIC COMMENTS
Alan Carvalho, Cathedral City, thanked the Police Chief and the Fire Chief for doing an
outstanding job and providing a great service to the community_
COUNCIL COMMENTS
due to technical difficulties during the Council Meeting all of the Council's Comments were
inaudible.

MOTION by Council Member Henry, second by Council Member Aguilar, carried 3-1-0-0
(Council Member Pettis voted no), to approve the authorization to enter into a Purchase and
Sale Agreement and Joint Escrow Instructions with City Urban Revitalization Corporation for
property located in the vicinity of the northwest corner of Date Palm and East Palm Canyon
by M_O_ 6313.
