Unless otherwise stated all work shall conform to the terms,general conditions,and special provisions of the Contract. ****************************************************************************** DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE This contract amendment authorizes RBF Consulting, Inc. to prepare the plans, specifications and engineer's estimate for the Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) water line and sanitary sewer line relocation for the Date Palm Drive Bridge Widening Improvement. RBF's additional work request outlining the approved scope of work and fee, dated May 27, 2014, is attached and made part of this contract amendment. ****************************************************************************** Previous Contract Amount Through Contract Amendment No. -1-: $1,266,508.00 Add/Deduct this Amendment: $34,500.00 Revised Contract Total: $1,301,008.00 The contract completion date for the engineering phase is not affected by this contract amendment. The plan will show the relocation of approximately 1,900 lineal feet of 18"water main to accommodate the street and bridge widening. The water main relocation plan will be designed in plan and profile at a scale of 1"=40' in accordance with CVWD standards and requirements. It is assumed that the water main relocation plans will be standalone plan set. The plans shall include the following: • Title sheet • Three(3)plan and profile sheets prepared at a scale of 1"=40' horizontal and 1"=4' vertical. • Two (2)detail sheets,which will include notes and pipe attachments to bridge girders, piers, and deck. This task will also include coordination with CVWD staff during the design and processing of the plans. Task 2: Sewer Relocation Plan RBF shall prepare a plan for the relocation of the sewer main at the northern Date Palm Drive approach to the Whitewater Channel. The plan will show the relocation of approximately 95 lineal feet of sewer main away from a proposed bridge abutment along the northeast limits of the bridge approach. The relocation of sewer main will require the construction of one additional manhole and 80 lineal feet of 24"sewer main. The sewer main relocation plan will be designed in plan and profile at a scale of 1"=40' in accordance with CVWD standards and requirements. This task will also include the development of a sheet detailing the raising of the existing manholes in the area of the street grade changes. It is assumed that the sewer main relocation plans will be standalone plan set. The plans shall include the following: • Title sheet • One(1)plan and profile sheets prepared at a scale of 1"=40' horizontal and 1"=4' vertical. This task will also include coordination with CVWD staff during the design and processing of the plans. Mr.Bill Simons May 28,2014 Page 3 COMPENSATION City agrees to compensate RBF for such services as follows and in accordance with the original agreement provisions: Task Fee 1 Water Relocation Plan $28,000. 2 Sewer Relocation Plan $6,500. Total Fee= $34,500.
