CALL TO ORDER
Mayor DeRosa called the Special Meeting to order at 2:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Council Member Pettis, Council Member Henry, Mayor Pro Tern Vasquez and Mayor
DeRosa.
Absent: None
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Mayor Pro Tern Vasquez led the Pledge of Allegiance.
INVOCATION — Council Member Henry gave the invocation.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Rosario Avila, Cathedral City, questioned how Council Member Henry's seat will be filled after
the November Election, since he is running unopposed.
City Attorney Green, responded that the City Council will decide whether to appoint an individual
to fill the unexpired term or to call a special election.

COUNCIL COMMENTS
Mayor DeRosa, recognized Cathedral City High School students that received scholarships and
will be attending Cal State San Bernardino.
LEGISLATIVE ACTIONS
1. COUNCIL. Consider approval of a Master Property Tax Transfer Agreement. (C.
McClendon) (Pg. 1-5)

MOTION by Council Member Henry, second by Mayor Pro Tern Vasquez, carried 4-0, to
approve a Resolution amending the Master Property Tax Transfer Agreement with Riverside
County by Resolution 2014-40.
2. COUNCIL. Consider approval of a Special Use Permit for "Shorty's Rib Fest" on March
7-9, 2015 and sponsorship. (C. Parman) (Pg. 6-11)
MOTION Council Member Pettis, second by Council Member Henry, carried 4-0 to approve a
Special Use Permit for Shorty's Rib Fest to be held on March 7-9, 2015, allocate $5,000 for the
"Main Stage" exclusive Sponsorship, allocate up to $15,000 in-kind services and receive
$30,000 worth of airtime on Desert Radio Group station in return for the City's in-kind
sponsorship by M.O. 6297..
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor DeRosa adjourned the meeting at 2:38 p.m.
