NOTICE OF DISCHARGE AND RELEASE OF ABATEMENT COST
REPORT ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 36770 CATHEDRAL CANYON DRIVE
APN 67- 170 -018
WHEREAS, on June 7, 2001, the City of Cathedral City performed an inspection on
real property located at 36770 Cathedral Canyon Drive, Cathedral City CA 92234,
referenced by Assessor Parcel No. 687-170-018, and found certain hazardous
materials on the property which posed an immediate risk of harm or injury to
property and to the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Cathedral City; and
WHEREAS, on June 7, 2001, the City and its agents, employees, and /or contractors
performed certain work to identify and remove the hazardous materials, and in so
doing incurred certain expenses, amounting to $7,190.05 in doing such removals
and cleanup; and
WHEREAS, an "Abatement Cost Report" detailing the cleanup costs was thereafter
recorded on March 27, 2003, as Instrument No. 2003 - 214658, in Official Records of
riverside County, California; and
WHEREAS, said debt was ultimately paid or otherwise discharged.
NOW THEREFORE in consideration of the payment or discharge of the above
cleanup costs, the City of Cathedral City does hereby approve the release and
removal of the said "Abatement Cost Report" from title on said real property and said
Report shall hereinafter be of no force or effect.
This release affects that certain real property located at 36770 Cathedral Canyon
Drive, Cathedral City, CA, 92234, more particularly described as:
The North half of Lot 4 of Cathedral City, as shown by map on file in
Book 13, at Pages 24, 25 and 26 of maps, Records of Riverside
County, California;
Excepting therefrom the East 100 feet thereof.
Together with the South half of Fourth Street adjoining said land on the
North, as vacated and abandoned by Resolutions of the Board of
Supervisors, certified copies of which were recorded on June 27, 1962,
in Book 3170, Page 82, in Official Records, and on August 28, 1962, as
Instrument No. 81145, in said Official Records.
Also excepting therefrom that portion conveyed to the City of Cathedral
City by deed recorded October 22, 1986, as Instrument No. 1986-
263192, in Official Records.
Together with the South 95 feet of the West 100 feet of said Lot 4 of
said Cathedral City;
Excepting therefrom that portion conveyed to the City of Cathedral City
by deed recorded October 22, 1986, as Instrument No. 1986- 263192,
in Official Records.
The owner of the said parcel (APN 687- 170 -018) is:
The City of Cathedral City, a municipal Corporation, by Grant Deed recorded August
16, 2012, as Instrument No. 2012 - 0390066 in Official Records of Riverside County,
California.
