HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 1569 L a - twi . a 1 Board of Supervisors County of Riverside 2 (.. 3 RESOLUTION NO. 83-157 MASTER PROPERTY TAX TRANSFER AGREEMENT DETERMINING THE 4 AMOUNT OF PROPERTY TAX REVENUE TO BE EXCHANGED BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE AND THE CITY 5 OF CATHEDRAL CITY RELATING TO ANNEXATIONS TO THE CITY OF CATHEDRAL CITY 6 7 BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County • 8 of Riverside, State of California, in regular session assembled on 9 May 10, 1983, that: 10 1. The County of Riverside and the City of Cathedral City 11 are the agencies whose areas or responsibilities for service would 12 be affected by annexations to the City of Cathedral City. 13 2. Representatives of each of the affected agencies have 14 met and negotiated an exchange of property tax revenue to become 15 effective for tax purposes beginning July 1, 1984, and continuing 16 until such time as the resolution is rescinded or superseded, as 17 follows: 18 a. The City of Cathedral City shall assume the respon- 19 sibility for all general municipal services to the areas to be 20 annexed as are required by law or presently provided throughout 21 the City, and for such service assumption shall receive 25% of 22 that portion of the property tax revenue generated within the 23 territories annexed under the ad valorem tax rate established 24 by Article XIII A of the Constitution of the State of California, 25 that represents the County of Riverside's share of such property 26 tax revenue. This resolution shall constitute a master property 27 tax transfer agreement with respect to adjustments in the alloca- 28 tion of property taxes between the City of Cathedral City and GERALD J.GEERLINGS COUNTY COUNSEL SUITE 300 3535•lOTtiSTREET RIVERSIDE.CALIFORNIA -1 - . 1 the County of Riverside as provided by Revenue and Taxation C 2 Section 99(d) . 3 b. The County Auditor shall convert the above-esta: 4 lished percentage figures into actual dollar figures and ther 5 after allocate such property tax revenue in accord with the 6 provisions of Section 95 et seg. of the Revenue and Taxation 7 Code. 8 3. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Riverside 9 hereby agrees to the above-recited exchange of property tax revenl 10 4. '� CATHEDRAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF PROPERTY TAX REVENUE TO BE EXCHANGED BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE AND THE CITY OF CATHEDRAL CITY RELATING TO ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF CATHEDRAL CITY, CALIFORNIA. NOW THEREFORE be it resolved, by the City Council of the City of Cathedral City in regular session assembled on this 21st day of December, 1988; that, SECTION 1: the County of Riverside and the City of Cathedral City are agencies whose area or responsibility for service would be affected by annexations to the City of Cathedral City; and, SECTION 2: representatives of each of the affected agencies have met and negotiated an exchange of property tax revenue as folT'ows, to become effective for tax purposes beginning July 1, 1984, for all areas annexed to the City until such time as this resolution is rescinded or superseded; and, A. The City of Cathedral city shall assume responsibility for all general municipal services to fees annexed as are required by law or presently provided throughout the City, and for such service, the City r , ,� shall receive 25% of that portion of the property tax revenue generated within territories annexed under the ad valorem tax rate established by Article XIII A of the Constitution of the State of California, that represents the County of Riverside's share of such property tax revenue; and, B.
