RESOLUTION NO. 2019-03
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CATHEDRAL CITY ACCEPTING THOSE PORTIONS OF JONES ROAD
AND CREE ROAD, AS DESCRIBED IN THE GRANT OF EASEMENT
RECORDED ON AUGUST 3, 1989, AS INSTRUMENT NO. 259926, IN
OFFICIAL RECORDS OF RIVERSIDE COUNTY, INTO THE CITY
MAINTAINED STREET SYSTEM PURSUANT TO STREETS AND
HIGHWAYS CODE SECTION 1806.
WHEREAS, in connection with the development of properties north of East Palm
Canyon Drive and east of Cree Road, certain portions of Jones Road and Cree Road
were granted to the City of Cathedral City for highway and public utility easement
purposes by that certain Grant of Easement recorded on August 3, 1989, as Instrument
No. 259926, in Official Records of Riverside County, California; and
WHEREAS, said Grant of Easement was duly accepted by the City Clerk on
behalf of the City of Cathedral City with the condition that the streets described in the
Grant of Easement were not accepted under the provisions of State Streets and
Highways Code Section 1806, and that their acceptance into the City maintained street
system would occur only after their improvement to City standards and adoption of a
Resolution to that effect by the governing body of the City of Cathedral City; and
WHEREAS, the portions of Jones Road and Cree Road as described in said
Grant of easement have been improved to City standards, and it is now in the best
interest of the City of Cathedral City that said streets be accepted into the City
maintained street system pursuant to Streets and Highways Code Section 1806.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED BY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CATHEDRAL CITY, that those portions of
Jones Road and Cree Road, as described in the Grant of Easement recorded on
August 3, 1989, as Instrument No. 259926 in Official Records of Riverside County, and
as described in the attached Exhibit "A", are hereby accepted, pursuant to Section 1806
of the State Streets and Highways Code, into the City maintained street system.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a certified
copy of this Resolution to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Riverside
County, California.
APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council for the City of
Cathedral City held on this 13th day of March , 2019, by the following vote:

CREE ROAD — PARCEL 1:
In the City of Cathedral City, County of Riverside, State of California, being that portion
of Parcel 2 of Parcel Map No. 18513 as filed in Book 108 of Parcel Maps, at Pages 98
and 99, Records of Riverside County, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of said Parcel 2;
Thence, Easterly along the North line of said Parcel 2, South 83° 26' 42" East, 44.01
feet to a line parallel with and at a distance (measured at right angles) of 44.00 feet
Easterly of the West line of said Parcel 2;
Thence, Southerly along said parallel line, South 00° 16' 32" West, 195.37 feet to the
beginning of a 180.00-foot radius tangent curve concave to the Northwest;
Thence, southwesterly along said curve through a central angle of 29° 34' 13", a
distance of 92.90 feet;

Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Parcel 2;
Thence, Easterly along the North line of said Parcel 2, South 88° 26' 42" East, 44.01
feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
Thence, continuing Easterly along said North line, South 88° 26' 42" East, 774.22 feet to
the Northwest corner of Lot "B" of said Parcel Map No. 18513;
Thence, Southerly along the West line of said Lot "B", South 01° 33' 18" West, 30.00
feet to the Southwest corner of said Lot "B";
Thence, Westerly and parallel with said North line, North 88° 26' 42" West, 124.21 feet
