CITY OF CATHEDRAL CITY ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC ROAD PURPOSES FOR LANDAU BOULEVARD AS DESCRIBED IN THE DECLARATION OF DEDICATION RECORDED ON FEBRUARY 28, 1966, AS INSTRUMENT NO. 21262 IN OFFICIAL RECORDS OF RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA AND ACCEPTING SAME INTO THE CITY MAINTAINED STREET SYSTEM PURSUANT TO STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE SECTION 1806. WHEREAS, in connection with the development of property at the northeast corner of Ramon Road and Landau Boulevard, a certain Declaration of Dedication was executed and recorded for the dedication of real property for public road purposes and public utility purposes described as follows: The Westerly rectangular 10 feet of the Southerly 165 feet of Lot 151 of Assessor's Map No. 46, as recorded in Book 2, Page 3 of Assessor's Maps, records of Riverside County, California, as described In the Declaration of Dedication recorded on February 28, 1966, as Instrument No. 21262 in Official Records of Riverside County, California; and WHEREAS, the above described Declaration of Dedication was not accepted by the County of Riverside, nor was it accepted into the County maintained,street system; and WHEREAS, Landau Boulevard adjoining the above described property was improved and widened and has been in use as a public street since after the Declaration of Dedication was made and recorded; and WHEREAS, upon incorporation, the City of Cathedral City became the successor in interest to the Declaration of Dedication; and WHEREAS, in order to clarify title to the real property described in the above Declaration and to accept the public improvements thereon into the City maintained street system, it is now in the best public interest to formally accept the Declaration of Dedication and to accept the improvements into the City maintained street system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CATHEDRAL CITY, that the real property described in the Declaration of Dedication recorded on February 28, 1966, as Instrument No. 21262, in Official Records of Riverside County, is hereby accepted on behalf of the public for public road and public utility purposes„ and pursuant to Section 1806 of the State Streets and Highways Code is hereby accepted into the City maintained street system. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Riverside County, California. APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council for the City of Cathedral City held on this 11th day of September, 2018 by the following vote: Ayes: Council Members Carnevale and Kaplan; Mayor Pro Tem Pettis and Mayor Henry Noes: None Absent: Council Member Aguilar Abstain: None tanley E.
